Dearest babyhood,
You are full of the softest whispers of time, tiny toes curled into sleepy stretches, squeals that fill the quiet of morning, eyes that hold entire galaxies. You arrive without warning, and then you bloom, quickly and quietly, while we’re busy rocking, feeding, soothing, loving.
And just like that… you’re gone.
This is why I created The Little Portrait Company. Not just for the sake of photos, but to hold onto you, sweet babyhood. To pause the rush. To remember how it felt when they first sat up on their own, giggled from their belly, or stood proudly, just once, before toppling into our arms.
A space for your baby to stretch, snuggle, and play
Nestled right in my home, in Lincoln California, The Little Portrait Company studio was created with intention. A space that feels like a deep breath. It’s quiet here. Safe. Softly lit and filled with gentle, neutral textures that let your little ones be the focus, just as they are.
You don’t need to bring much. You don’t need to do much. Just come as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest. My studio is stocked with everything we need including natural and timeless props that photograph beautifully and never distract from what matters most: your child’s story.
This isn’t a high-traffic, overly styled studio. It’s cozy. It’s calm. It’s where your little one can stretch, snuggle, and play in peace while we preserve this fleeting chapter with tenderness and grace. As one of the main child and baby photographers in the Sacramento area, I believe that children should be the focus, just as they are in this moment in time.

These milestone sessions at 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year aren’t about perfect outfits or Pinterest poses. They’re about your baby, in this exact chapter. We keep it gentle and simple with soft tones, natural textures, and the kind of quiet that lets them just be.

Milestone sessions are perfect for photographing the adorable sitting & crawling stage of babyhood. Created for the 6 & 9 months milestones. Every session includes use of wooden toys, white stuffed animals & small “1/2” birthday hats. We will rotate as many items in and out as we can during their session.

Personality Portraits – For Littles 1 year+
These personality portrait sessions are all about capturing your child exactly as they are right now—silly faces, sweet smirks, shy glances and all. In just 10 minutes, we’ll create a series of timeless, expressive portraits that highlight their spirit and charm in a soft, minimal studio setting with beautiful light.

Your baby is turning one! What better way to remember this milestone than with a timeless portrait session? Rather than a cake smash, these sessions offer a calm, thoughtful approach to documenting the wonder, personality, and tenderness of your child’s first year. We’ll create images that feel both classic and meaningful.

These are baby-only sessions designed to keep the focus on all that birthday magic.
